Open Doors Gallery [ODG] is seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join as a Sales & Gallery Assistant Intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a leading platform for contemporary photographic art, with the potential to develop into a more permanent position in 2026.
About the Role
You will support the ODG director in creating digital content, and creating client engagement. The internship runs through to the end of January 2026 as a probationary period, with the possibility of extending that into the new year. Alongside a fixed internship salary, sales commission opportunities will be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing ODG for upcoming art fairs and exhibitions
- Managing artist webpages and Artsy platform content
- Creating tailored offers to clients to drive sales
- Supporting marketing activity via WordPress, Mailchimp, and social media (including managing the @odprintsales account)
- Assisting with day-to-day gallery administration and communications
Applicant Skills & Experience
- Some prior sales or client-facing experience, or strong motivation to grow in this area
- Familiarity with WordPress, InDesign, Mailchimp, and Artsy (or readiness to learn quickly)
- Confident across social media platforms and digital communication
- Excellent people skills, proactive approach, and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in contemporary art, photography, and the wider cultural sector
