Mrs Doolittle the animal lady
Her earliest memory was her grandmother’s furs.
She remembers stroking them and whispering, “Sorry, sorry, sorry.”
She never married, instead she gave her life to the animals. She would save as many as she could to make it better.
But she never was really alone, even though that’s what everybody said. They purred their sympathy, but she didn’t seem to hear, she was too busy.
How can you be alone when nature is everywhere?
