Description
Samira Saidi
Austria
Due to the current times and the mandatory quarantine, my mother and I have brought past routines back to life. Rituals that we had when I was a child have now been unconsciously revived and brought back a sense of the ordinary. The intimacy of caring for each other, in a physical and mental framework, are now moments of stillness and harmony whilst the outside world is in an exceptional and unknown condition. Strong mental health in times of shifting realities, have been rare yet should be considered a basic need. Moving through the uncertainties of the future, is stable mental health finding its balance in the realm between the theories of transcendence and immanence with the support of one another in the comfort of the known.
