Out of Season
About a week before the lockdown happened, we arrived at this little cottage in Normandy, France. We were supposed to stay for 5 days, but we ended up staying for three weeks. With everything closing down in the Netherlands, there was no immediate reason for us to return.

It felt like we were the only ones in the little seaside village, that was just about to open for spring season. Nobody showed up of course and everything stayed closed. After a few weeks we did have to return as lockdown got more severe and life in France got much harder. But for the time being we truly were alone. Growing closer to each other and our new surroundings. Seeing more details, feeling more awake then ever.
