ALICE CAMPOS
I gather beginnings to the end. Collecting human, non-human and immaterial memories of nostalgic touch and human presence. Flesh, human hair, wrinkled skin and soft eyelashes swirled together. Liquid light, distilling moments of sleep, patience and discomfort. Our flickering eyes live within a view finder, a slither of glass, like an opened window blushing in cold air.
– Alice Campos, 2022
Alice’s work is unique and printed by hand. Alice has committed to researching sustainable darkroom practises. For example recently she has been experimenting with Rosemary Teas to develop her prints and hand tints them with green tea leaves.
‘Your on-going experimental research into contact modalities, working with light, etheric medium and observation seem to have yielded some new data/knowledge and real insight into the nature of reality, energy and consciousness.’ – B Camplin, Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University
