Description

Marco Rapaccini [b.1982] is an Italian photographic artist whose practise explores the interplay between memory, place, and the passage of time. Drawing inspiration from both classical and contemporary influences, Rapaccini’s images balance documentary precision with a poetic sensibility. His practice often navigates themes of identity and solitude, using light and composition to create evocative visual storytelling.

Recently his practice has been focused on the cyanotype process. Utilising his skills and knowledge of this early photographic print process to create unique prints across a variety of different paper types and sizes. Reimagining the landscape with his reconfigurations of triptychs and diptychs as well as documenting found objects.

Marco Rapaccini has an ability to transform the ordinary into something profoundly beautiful and introspective. His photographs possess a quiet intensity that lingers with the viewer, inviting contemplation and emotional resonance.

All photographs are hand-printed and toned by the artist in their studio in Rome.
