THOMAS GOSSET
“In Paris, moving house from Bordeaux to Berlin, two guys stole two bags where there was all my films… 5 years old research. Simple but devastating. I decided after this moment to totally change my way of working with photography.”
Thomas Gosset Valère (b.1984) is a self-taught photographic artist based in Bordeaux. For these new works Thomas Gosset uses a variety of techniques to create visually arresting, unique prints. His style is more inline with a painter than that of a traditional photographer.
Below you will find images revealed in a liberating act of destruction. These “psychedelic” photographic emulsions are the result of an acerbic eye on the world and meticulous experimental work, from shooting to the darkroom. Thomas uses a variety of techniques to create his images, from using sand to using acids direct on the negative. You never know what this creative photographic artist will produce next.
Thomas will have work on display at our next exhibition
