The Road Trip

Some of us remember the mix tapes. Those albums that got us from A to B. The family anthems that are hummed, drummed and belted out from the back seat. The forever lines of “Are we nearly there yet?” closely followed by the “you should have gone before we left!”. Leaning on the wind with your palm through the window. Or the sudden adjustment your eyes make as you are plunged into the darkness of a tunnel. Streaks of light blurring overhead. The glow of neon lights that occasionally puncture the long dark canvas ahead. Heads resting on shoulders. Bracing for the journey out into adventures to come.

We asked our artists to respond to the theme of The Road Trip and to help us curate an online collection of long awaited escapism this Summer. We also created a playlist to accompany this collection. Including tracks our artists would listen to on the road.
