Ben Osborne [1980] is a photographer who lives and works in East Sussex, England. His first book, Dilucolo “Before the Dawn”, was published in June 2025 by Grani Edizioni.
Artist Statement | Before the Dawn is a selection of images exploring the feelings of anxiety and dread felt while raising a family in a world where darkness appears to be prevailing, a world caught in the flow of history, which one can neither hold on to, nor bear to let go of. By exploring the darkness it asks the questions; is finding beauty within the darkness a way to protect ourselves against despair, and could it be that the darkest hour is right before the dawn?
