These days are not necessarily more slow than before, they are different. I woke up every day and without even noticing, I realise that is already time to go to bed.
I am less busy connecting with the external environment, but committed to be more self reflective.
By being more inward looking we are keeping ourself busy as much as before and it is somehow precious.

“Marcello Campora’s simple, close-up black and white compositions hit hard. This moment in time has required so much hand washing, so much hand holding. Hands are Home. Few things are more familiar than my mother’s hands, my husband’s hands, my children’s hands. I used to study my mother’s hands as I held them in church. I grab my children’s hands to cross the road, to keep them away from people right now, to get them to sleep at night. I know the shape of my husband’s hands physically. I know how mine fit into his. In the first few weeks of lockdown my knuckles bled, my hands ached. My own hands now remind me of my mother’s; checkered, aging, beautiful. I don’t know when I will see her hands again. We hold each other in our hands, but beyond our households we cannot touch each other with our hands. Campora’s images say all of this.”
