Giorgia Bellotti lives in the province of Bologna, Italy, high up in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Since childhood, drawing and painting were the disciplines that she preferred. It was only a few years ago that she discovered photography as an artistic medium. This gave her the impetus to start artistic research “focused on myself and my inner universe”. Giorgia does this by using the self-portrait to express and explore a variety of themes and feelings. All without ever revealing her face and in doing so creates an air of mystery with each image.
